BCC Powerhouse wins the 1st Division!
BCC Powerhouse have won the 1st division. They started the season in a strong position with a clean sheet for their first 4 games. Their only defeats were to 1st division runner-up, Reformed Rovers and Nampo I.U. The victory will be welcomed after Powerhouse finished a close 2nd place in 2011.
Newcomers, AC United have dominated the 2nd division this year and finished undefeated with a whopping 51 point goal difference!
Ilam Cherubs and Hornby Presbyterian share the honour of the Sportsmanship Award. This prestige is based on Christian Points awarded by other teams throughout the year and is recognition that both teams played in a manner that reflects the Spirit the league was founded on.
The Golden Boot award for most goals scored goes to AC United this year. All together they put 69 balls into the back of the net (or nearly 7 goals a game).
Finally, we have the Old Boot to hand over. This honour belongs to 2012 newcomers, Addington Shmadington, who despite a winless season still wrap the year up with 2 points on the table.
Congratulations and thank you to everyone who participated in the league this season. We’ll see most of you next week at the CIFL Sevens and prize-giving. Keep your eye on the website for more updates soon.
Hi Dave, the match result for round 10 was reported incorrectly. Whilst it won’t impact the overall standings we(BCC) did not beat Nampo 5-1, we lost 5-1!
