Round 2 & 3: Starting to take shape

The last 2 rounds have proven to us just how diverse each division is. Anyone in the 1st can still take the trophy with all teams on the points board. Hornby Firsts lead by just two points, but a win for Powerhouse this weekend will put them ahead. Only the Cherubs are still in need of a win – a daunting task for them up against HUF in Round 4.

Division 2 is split both ways with two teams undefeated at the top and two eagerly waiting for their first win at the bottom. In between them are the 4 teams playing their inaugral season in the second division. With 2 trophies up for grabs at the end of the season everyone still has a chance to lift a tin cup.

The third division closely mirrors last years set up with a new team breaking away from the pack with back to back wins for Sino United. Every Nation Victory are close behind with a game in hand and it’s a sure thing that they won’t want to finish second again this year. Hornby Seconds are enjoy a successful start to 2009 with 2 convincing wins but we should spare a thought for the Navs who had to wait 6 weeks for their first goal!

Thanks to everyone for keeping up such a positive, competitive spirit on the field. Best of luck to the teams playing this weekend. Wrap up warm – it’s not looking like it’ll be a dry weekend!
