Welcome back
Registrations have closed and we are currently putting together the draw for the new season. This year we sadly bid farewell to Korean Hallelujah, FC Corea and Wildlife. All 3 teams have been with us for several years with FC Corea putting in a good fight last year for the Division 1 premier trophy. Korean Hallelujah surprised us all winning the second division in their début season in 2006. Wildlife have been around for the better part of a decade (probably longer if I go dig up the archives to check) and we wish them well with their endeavours.
However the league continues to thrive and 3 additional teams are joining us this year. The Vatican City Rovers’ ranks have swelled to form a second team; Vatican City United. We also have Sino United coming in from the Chch Chinese Methodist Church, home of the current Division 2 champions; G-Force. Finally, we have Korean Catholic Church joining us from St Paul Chong Hasang Church in North Brighton.
Let’s pray for another successful season for all of our teams this year, perhaps with a little less precipitation than last year…
The draw will be posted here in a week. If you unfortunately missed the registration cut off date, then fear not. There are some teams looking for extra players to make up their numbers. Drop us a line and we’ll put you in touch with someone who can help.
