Round 9 Results

The round 9 results are in and we still don’t have a definative winner in all 3 divisions!

The Spreydon Ankles served up a surprise win against table leaders, Horomaka Hamstrings who were even denied a bonus point. Div 1 runner-up, AC United are still in a position to take the championship if circumstances serve them well over the next couple of weeks.

In division 2, Nga Toa Whakapono hold onto their lead with a 4 goal win over The A Team. South City United will meet The Faith Warriors in the final round to see who gets to be the 23rd name on the Division 2 Shield. Nampo IU also stamped their authority on the top of the div 3 table with a 12-1 win over CCFC. One Way Jesus are still in reaching distance of the Silver Plate, but they have to break Nampo’s season long winning streak to do so.

Now’s a good time for us to remind everyone how the final placings on the table are decided. The final results are defined by total points, then by goal difference, then by goals scored. If two teams are tied on all 3 variables then the position is shared. In the case of the winners and runners-up, the trophies are shared.
