Welcome to the 2014 Season

Welcome to the 30th season of the competition. The draw has been assembled and submitted for scheduling. Round 1 will kick off on Saturday, 12th April. Between now and then it would be good for all players (new and old) to familiarise themselves with the Rules and Guidelines of the competition.

This year we welcome 2 new teams to our ranks. The CCFC join us from City Church Christchurch and the Korean Catholic Church return under the team name: A-Pink. AC United have also expanded their roster and are now fielding 2 teams!

We have to bid farewell to two long standing teams; Issachar Warriors and Shirley Strikers who both struggled to make up numbers this year. The Backyard Bandits have also hung up their boots down after 2 years in the competition.

We also have a couple of teams renamed –

Saber-Toothed Tithers (Northcity Rangara)
RCC Pirates (Day of Judgement)

We are fielding 3 divisions again this year. Division 1 and 3 will be made up of 6 teams each and will play each other twice this season. Division 2 has 8 teams and will play each other once. After the seventh round a playoff schedule will come together based on team positions on the 2nd division table. The points table will still decide the winners at the end of the season.
